About me

I created this site because I enjoy helping people and sharing what I know. I also created this site because I am a research addict and a cheapskate. I exhaust all possible resources before I make a purchase in attempt to get the very best value for my dollars.

I have been designing electronic circuits since about 1972. I was a mechanic for many years, a pneumatic robotics engineer, lead man of a machine shop, a production manager for a military contractor, stripped paint off of DC10’s and repaired computer mother boards. I am currently a graphics designer, web site installer, web host provider and custom computer builder. My family also rescues and cares for animals that would otherwise have perished.

We reside in Florida and live in a small 700 square foot wood frame home that was built in 1946. Fifteen minutes from the beach so, all is good. Our back yard has over 1000 square feet of buildings and outside runs for various animals we may care for. The animals come first here.

I have been riding motorcycles since I was nine years old. I was raised in rural Ohio so, I was on the trails and in the woods every day year round. Riding motorcycles on frozen lakes was a blast and also really honed my riding skills. I learned to fix my own vehicles from day one. I could never afford to use a professional mechanic.

That is really about all that may be deemed “interesting” about me. So, I digress.
